Bakery brand Odkolek has started to write its history back in 1850. Since then, its logo has changed many times; changes reflected period trends, especially typographical. The current change in logo means return to the oldest history of the renowned Odkolek brand, which becomes the main brand of United Bakeries Group.
With the change of the logo comes the gradual change of packaging with the brand Odkolek – the new packaging connects the traditional logo with the modern striking colors of the individual product lines and ensures good visibility in the shelves.
Why the year 1850 is a part of the new logo? “Rich history is always the most valuable thing which companies have. We have a famous brand born in 1850 and we want to emphasize it directly as a part of the logo, “says Petr Mlíka, marketing director of United Bakeries.
The new logo does not use the abbreviation of the name of the founder František Serafín Odkolek. The reason is that the Odkolek brand becomes the main corporate brand that will represent a wide range of products – from handmade traditional to the most fashionable. And there would already be style with Fr. (Fr. Odkolek) really old-fashioned.
